तुम्हारा साथ

सुख के दुःख के पथ पर जीवन
छोड़ता हुआ पदचाप गया,
तुम साथ रही, हँसते-हँसते
इतना लम्बा पथ नाप गया

तुम उतरी चुपके से मेरे
यौवन वन में बन कर बहार
गुनगुना उठे भौंरे, गुंजित हो
कोयल का आलाप गया

स्वप्निल स्वप्निल सा लगा गगन
रंगो में भीगी-सी धरती
जब बही तुम्हारी हँसी हवा-सी
पत्ता पत्ता कांप गया

जाने कितने दिन हम यूँही
बहके मौसम के साथ रहे
जाने कितने ही ख्वाब
हमारी आँखों में वह छाप गया

धीरे-धीरे घर के कामों ने
हाथ तुम्हारे थाम लिये
मेरा भी मन अब नये समय का
नया इशारा भाँप गया

अरतन -बरतन, चुल्हा चक्की
रोटी पानी के राग उठे
झड़ गये बहकते रंग, ह्रदय में
भावों का भर ताप गया

मैंने ना किया, तुमने ना किया
अब प्यार भरा संवाद कभी
बोलता हुआ वह प्यार न जाने
कब बन क्रिया कलाप गया

झगड़े भी हुए, अनबोला भी
पर सदा दर्द की चादर से
चुपके से कोई एक-दूसरे का
नंगापन ढाँप गया

इस विषय सफर की आँधी में
हम चले हाथ में हाथ दिये
चलते-चलते हम थके नहीं
आखिर रास्ता ही हांफ गया

Slowly, but household chores occupied your time

Questions of domestic nature became big issues
All colours washed away, and heart became bereft of emotions

I didn't, and you didn't too, speak in romantic tone anymore
One wonders when our love became the everyday routine

We fought, we were mad,
But we covered each other's nakedness by blanket of pain, silently, supportingly

In this tumultuous world, we walked hand in hand
